Liberty Tree Ventures was an idea that got started during the Covid lockdowns as a way to turn a love of firearms and shooting sports, tools, and machinery into a family business. In addition to our CNC milling machines, lathes, 3d printers, and other equipment we soon found the need to be able to quickly and accurately engrave designs like roll marks for clone builds or other artwork and required compliance markings. To fill this need we purchased our first engraving machine, an OMTech 50w fiber laser! As usually happens with new tools and equipment, we found a plethora of different uses for the laser and had customers asking us to engrave other materials and items so we started expanding our engraving capabilities to offer additional services.
In June 2024 after about a year of development and testing we launched our first in-house manufactured product, a 5-round magazine for the popular but long-discontinued Thompson Center Compass line of rifles. We almost immediately started getting requests to also release 10-round and single shot versions of the mag and then other caliber options which are now all available over in the store. We’ve also started working on Thompson Center Venture rifle magazines along with AICS mag adapters for the Compass, and have been releasing new versions regularly!
